These covers are perfect for those who need washable and easily removable covers in case your little ones drop food while eating. That is what I needed! Most chair covers are designed to replace the original cover (for old and damaged chairs). My chairs are new and just need some protection until my young son is old enough to not drop spaghetti with red sauce between his legs. These covers do not require removing the original cushion to attach the covers like others do. The elastic band is easy to put on the chair and covers the top and sides of the cushion. But they look exactly as they are - removable covers. There is a small gap on the back of the chair cushion where the cover comes on, so you can see a little of the original cushion. Nobody will think that this is your original pillow. So if that's what you want, this product isn't for you. It was HARD for me to find covers like this - easy to put on, easy to take off. I've used towels to cover my chairs and they look a lot better. I put them on when my son's young friends arrive and take them off when they leave! I haven't washed them yet so I hope they hold their color and shape in the washing machine.
