This is a great option for a home that doesn't have a lot of space where you may need to hook up a mailbox to the house. It's small but suitable for large letters, but manila-sized items like envelopes need to be folded slightly if possible. I could fit a few small premium packages. However, I didn't buy it for our house but for my daughters to imitate a Parisian cafe. I wanted it to be small but not small for kids and it was perfect. I thought she and her sister would enjoy pretending to deliver each other's mail. I painted it pink. I've seen my daughters put their fake food in there and stuff it all over the breadth of other toys and it's taken hold of them and the other kids well. Not sure if this will help someone using it outside but it worked great for their playroom.
