1990 Honda Accord LX with 140,000 miles. Experienced strange intermittent ignition problems. Sometimes it wouldn't start, once it stalled on the freeway - it's scary. I tried just replacing the igniter in the old distributor with a cheap one, but the problem remained. Eventually he bought this distributor and he solved everything. There is a lot going on in this year's Honda transfer case: ignition coil, igniter, crankshaft position sensor, etc. I have previously had an oil leak in the distributor cap due to some worn o-rings and this leak likely damaged those parts. Time. This manifold also comes with new O-rings. The main difficulty during installation was aligning the groove for the rotor and camshaft. It took too long to play around with to align the grooves and spin the rotor with the cover removed. An experienced technician will probably overcome this difficulty, but I don't have such skills. If you remove your old distributor from the engine, some oil will likely leak out of the engine. Have a rag or paper towel handy to keep the oil from contaminating the oil. I've driven thousands of miles and haven't had any problems. A replacement distributor is strongly recommended.
