I bought this to move the bathroom rain shower head further away from the wall to give it a more personal look and feel less cramped but I needed it to match other brushed nickel fixtures that I had already bought. including a new shower head and bath spout. It worked perfectly for what I needed and was the same or better quality than anything I could find at my local hardware stores. If you have never installed any of these I recommend watching some videos on the subject as it is a kind of art and it can get expensive if you make a mistake. In particular, be prepared in case you have trouble removing an old shower head from a pipe in the wall. This can become difficult and expensive if you accidentally damage pipes. We watched a few videos and were well prepared for what was to come, but luckily our pipe was easy to remove and we installed a new one in minutes. This also came with a matching escuche/wall plate which gives a nice clean finish so we installed it with some plumbing putty to ensure it stayed in place (not included). I've had it for a few months now and it still looks brand new and works perfectly. Save yourself the annoying and costly trip to the hardware store and simply order this one here.
