I grew up in a home whose main benefit (I think?) is triple filtered water. Even the tap water there was better than the fridge water in other people's houses. When I moved into a tiny rental apartment last summer with no filtered faucet and very hard water, I needed a filter. But I hate the taste of Britas - I never liked the taste they left behind and it was very different from what I grew up with. I looked at a few different ones and decided to stick with this one because it has a different filtering method than Brita and is a good price. I love it! It makes the water sooooooooooo much better. At one point my dad stopped by and also commented on the taste and said he had to pick one for his RV. Seriously 10/10 would recommend if you are looking for something that does NOT taste like Brita. (Even when buying refill cartridges there is no difference in color, black is much cheaper and matches my green filter the same way)
