The helmet is DEFINITELY not DOT approved but I already knew that because I know I get what I pay for...and for the price of this helmet I knew that it wasn't like that before I bought it. The good thing is that it fits. I wear a size 7 5/8 hat, size XXL fits me very well. I also bought an aftermarket Los Angeles logo and glued it on and got the look I wanted. I live in a small town with little traffic and this helmet is definitely not for heavy traffic or highway driving as despite what it says it is NOT DOT approved. Looks cool, but not a sure thing. Oh yes, the delivery was very fast, the alligator is ok but the glasses are mediocre. Overall I'm very happy with what I got considering what I paid for it.
