Very bright, looks good. The most difficult fixture I have ever installed on an existing box where I removed another fixture. It doesn't come with the usual two screws going into a rod that screws into the blue box on your ceiling. It has a pole that attaches to drywall with dowels. It has a connector on the side of the base for cable entry as if designed for surface electrical power. Once you attach the rod to the ceiling, the wiring doesn't attach to the wire nut pigtails as it normally does. There are small clips for inserting wires, like they used to be on the back of speakers when we used speaker wire. I'm not sure I'll be happy with a 120VAC spring connection. Then there are two spring-loaded pins that attach to the ends of a rod attached to the ceiling. Flush mounting means you must have a few tiny fingers to grab the pins and pull them out and press the light against the ceiling after perfectly aligning the light with the groove on the back above the pole. Phone call. But when it's up there it looks beautiful and gives off a lot of light. I give 5 stars for the light and 1 star for the ease of installation.
