Review on SANDUGO Mountain Comfort: Lightweight and Comfortable for Adventure by Brian Lee

Withstands rough road conditions

Right out of the box I found these shoes to be durable. Not heavy but solid made of durable materials. I was attracted to this shoe because of the high top design. Although, strictly speaking, they are not high peaks. There is a high cut insole that covers the ankle and works very well to keep rocks and sticks out of your shoes. Almost all of my rides are through forest with lots of exposed, jagged rocks and roots. These shoes have withstood numerous rockfalls very well and protected my toes very well. If there's one thing I would like to change about these boots, it's the sole. The rubber is too hard on a knotted pedal. Even when I ride the Chester Race Face with threaded knobs for maximum traction, the hard rubber soles sometimes feel a bit slippery. My Crank Brothers Double Shot 2 have little to no snag when riding without clips. That small detail aside, I am very impressed with the comfort, fit and durability of this shoe. Definitely recommend.
