I bought this case rather interested in the price range. the pressure created by the 12" woofer I put in and they did, could live with that if used at low to medium volumes. on at least three sides and with fiberglass or other sound absorbing materials filled this will go a long way Most side resonances go away and the bass gets tighter and more precise I just used Home Depot oak dowels and screws and some glue I didn't care if the screws were showing (like in the pictures) , these are not luxury subwoofers and they do a pretty good job once secured and muffled If you don't have time to assemble and finish your own boxes this is a great alternative.
