My first set of these headphones broke when I closed the lid, preventing my iPod from staying dry. So I'm on the second. Both have been refurbished so it might be worth buying new. First of all, I'm impressed that I can even swim and listen to music at the same time. So many hours I spent in a pool with nothing but the sound of my breathing to be heard, punctuated by occasional ambient sounds of the world above the water's surface as I breathed. Finally, I might have something else to occupy my brain and prevent me from keeping track of how many laps I've done. But seriously, they work pretty well. I've had the most luck with the tree bud they provided (my original set only had one of these (grr!) so I couldn't use them until I got a second one. Very important to get a fit for your ear to get - too loose and the water gets in too tight and your ear will suffer within a few hundred yards What frustrates me the most is my swim cap which keeps the headphones in place but my cap tends to sag sneaking up while swimming, which eventually happens to make the headphones lose their tightness, I have to stop and adjust them at intervals, but it's not something you want to do remotely in the middle of a session.
