It didn't work. My cat regularly coughs up hairballs. And she refuses to do it anywhere but on the carpet (she actually runs off the hardwood floor to cough onto the carpet. Anyone else do that?). After seeing the other reviews I was very excited to receive this one. That does not work. It also leaves the carpet stuck. So the carpet needs to be washed. I've found that very hot water and an old toothbrush work better. Please save your money and buy BISSELL SpotClean 3624 Professional Portable Carpet Cleaner. It is a bit more expensive but worth the money. Trust me on that.
