Nice construction. Sturdy enough for a lamp. The assembly and instructions were easy except you have to figure out different screw-in bits depending on how long the rod you are using and which end is which. Just trial and error and logic to figure that part out, but otherwise no problem. As others have reported there were no problems, all parts are well aligned, screws are ok, mounting plate is ok, there is a "this side up" sticker etc. I have to say that I am a bit impressed by the rather thin disappointed was wood material, the image generated on the web gave me the impression of a very dense thick material, but it was a much thinner material and not as "hard" but as I said good for what it is. And because of that, I've come to the conclusion that it's not great value for money. But he's fine, he looks good and that's not the only reason he's coming back.
