You will need to purchase other tests to find out what solids are in your water. Electrolytes that hydrate water can increase TDS. It's just good to get an idea of what you're dealing with. Be prepared to purchase more advanced test kits to find out what's really in your water. Super easy to use. You really can't mess anything up. I have 2 TDS meters to make sure the readings don't run out. And both come to almost the same number.
