I have nothing to compare the accuracy to other than near zero readings on a distilled water sample while samples of other liquids give consistent results. I am satisfied with the price compared to expensive models. I test tap water and filtered water in addition to measuring nutrient levels in hydroponics.

The key point is that the protective cap is an integral part of the meter. Don't be afraid to pull to separate it from the rest of the instrument. Once this first step is mastered, the balance of instructions becomes almost intuitive.

Had this for about a month. Pretty much I would say. I've been testing water since I gave up bottled water. Find out, TDS really means nothing. TDS in water can either be a bad solid or a good solid. You will need to purchase other tests to find out what solids are in your water. Electrolytes that hydrate water can increase TDS. It's just good to get an idea of what you're dealing with.
