Not the highest quality
The material is more like a rigid jersey - I hope it will soften after washing. I wouldn't say it's prickly, it's not soft or runny like I expected. My son is 7 and 45 pounds, I ordered a small. It's a little short so the shirt looks square. It's definitely not worth the $18.99 but my kid loves it so I'm keeping it to myself.
