So, I’m a gel polish advocate but I thought I would give this a try. It is easy and perfect for a beginner; however, the smell is INSANELY strong. It smells like a high strength nail glue that’s you’d buy from Walmart or even dollar tree. I thought it was just the base coat and figured that made sense but it’s not. The base coat, activator and top coat all have the same string smell.As far as using the product, it was fairly easy. I recommend purchasing a nail drill to make the process quicker. I only did one mail and it took about 10 minutes. I could only imagine filing two hands with a handheld nail file. It comes with 8 colors and the bottles are small but perfect for a starter kit. It didn’t make that much of a mess and turned out pretty in the end. It’s definitely a trust the process. With gel you can see what it is going to look like, but with this you have to file it, apply top coat, then file it again. It’s exciting to see the final outcome as you apply the last coat of top coat.I took off one star because of the strong smell but I would say I recommend this for someone starting their nail journey. If you want to give dip powders a try, this is a nice kit to start with. It would also make a nice gift and isn’t costly!
