HyperX Cloud II Gaming Headset for PC and PS4 - Red (KHX-HSCP-RD) I've had them and been using them for about a week now them for about 16 hours of gaming and a few hours of listening to music. If anything important comes up later that's worth paying attention to, I'll update this review. Background I'm an audiophile, I'm old so my hearing isn't what it used to be. However, I always had a very cool stereo system and generally the highest quality headphones. I am also a computer gamer. Fit and quality They are extremely comfortable: they fit snugly, but not tightly. If you wear glasses, you will hardly or not at all notice the temples. The leather ear pads are soft and fit your ears well, including isolating from all the ambient noise in your home. There is also an extra set of foam pads to replace the leather pads. You can install them if you want something even softer. My head is a bit bigger. I wear a size 7-1/4 cap and with a baseball cap I'm usually in one or two of the last adjustment holes. Phones won't fall when you tilt your head forward or backward. They (feel) generally very light on your head, and after three or four hours of play your ears don't get sweaty or warm. They breathe well so moisture doesn't accumulate. I live in Hawaii so I'm a good example of that. The material used is high quality material. Anodized steel, leather ear pads and headband, and a durable plastic shell make up the ear pads. The attachment points fit snugly into the ear cups. The only thing I can argue with the design is the wiring to the ear pads. As long as it's securely attached, you can accidentally snag one of the wires and damage the connection. Of course, that would be a distant circumstance. My wife also likes them because the oval shape of the cups allows her earrings to fit. You guys with big ears or earrings, especially those who wear big suction cups, might be out of luck. SoundThey sound great and thanks to the isolation you can hear everything the soundtrack has to offer. There is a simple guide to follow when setting it up for PC. Go to Control Panel in Sound application and set up 7.1 which is included in the package. As far as "virtual sound" goes, I can't tell it apart from what stereo offers. During the game I hear something left, right and in the middle. Stereo placement is good for music, and well-mixed music puts the instruments where they could be on the stage. Classical music: violins on the left, wind instruments on the right. Miscellaneous This company offers a 2-year warranty, which in itself shows that the company believes in quality. If there were many problems with this product, they would lose money because of the two-year warranty. The packaging is premium, beautiful, well thought out and another sign that you're getting something pretty good. The box is built like a Fort Knox and all the little things are tightly packed in foam. You will receive a travel bag and adapters for PC, Mac and game consoles including a controller. The wire is covered with fabric and does not get tangled. I've used headphones in the past and they always get tangled, fall out of my ears or become loose. The cable is long enough and the microphone and headphone volume controls are convenient. The built-in controller also features a microphone mute switch.
