The first few photos were of the unboxing of this affordable unit. Very much like a factory part and brilliantly updated where it matters. The last two photos show a factory run of 112,000 miles that lasted for his life until the bearings finally failed on Friday last week. Removal and installation was a breeze on my 2011 car, although the steering seat post blocked some of my hand freedom. In my case there is no need to remove the fan or belt. The belt has traveled less than 100 km since the alternator was replaced. On the driver side the bottom rear of your radiator is the drain, the 5/8" socket is the size of the drain plug, if you have a steering knuckle two channel locks will work great. While someone or you remove the belt from the pulley, take the 1/2 inch ratchet and turn the tensioner. Jump onto the top with your swivel head and trusty tenmm head you keep losing and pull out two bolts, shake them a bit and the water pump will shut off. Reverse the process to get it back and you'll be back on the road within an hour as long as you have the correct HOAT coolant to replace. Fingers crossed for longevity, but I'm hopeful. Otherwise I'll spend the extra money on a GMB all-metal block next time to get away from the composite wheel.
