There are many good reviews on this product so let me go back to some of the more common negative reviews I read before purchasing this product. There is a license plate slot on the elastic band on the side, and this is definitely the weak point of the product. Be careful when inserting the license plate as the metal plates cut into the rubber when inserting. The rubber is thick enough not to tear if you insert it gently enough. The only reason this part could come loose is if you were impatient or rude installing the plates. It tears a little (the slit gets bigger) when you insert the plate, so this product is not for you if you are constantly changing. Plates in and out for some reason. I assume it will be strong enough to change plates a couple of times, but that's where the rubber can break. I haven't had any problems with the rubber bending anywhere. It's definitely flexible, but as long as you have a direct platform to mount it it looks neat and professional. They give you 2 sets of bolts as they can vary on different cars and overall I thought it was a good buy.
