I have two of these air filters. The first one I bought for the cabin I live in I heat with wood. When I fill up, there is sometimes so much smoke in the air that I just wanted to filter it out. But now I live and work in the worst air I have ever seen in Lake Tahoe or anywhere else. On August 16th and 21st the AQI was above 500 here and in August we had many days in the 200+ and around 300+ range. As a result, my first Levoit filter went to the office, and the second stayed at home. The original is relatively quiet, and while it's small, it gets the job done in an area of 450 square feet. ft. To be honest I haven't been able to test the second one yet because I was evacuated the day it was installed, but these are high quality devices that draw tiny particles from my internal environment. It's become a must-have accessory here in a part of California that is so sadly showing the effects of climate change.
