I've attached the instructions I found.

There are no instructions so I connected it just before the tap and the water got slightly cloudy. I figured there might be too much pressure letting more minerals through their filter, so I looked for somewhere to place that filter. I've included the diagram to help anyone who needs it. This raised my water pH to 9. Hope this helps others.
