The description says the snap-on lid is reusable, but that's not true. Once you remove the original "seal," the cap simply doesn't sit properly on the bottle and does little to protect the contents. We also found that the neck of the bottle is so thick that pouring is always messy. We continued to search for a replacement and found a very good option in the form of the Anchor Hocking Bistro Glass 2 Quart Stein. This bottle has a wider lid for easy cleaning and a snug stopper, and both are dishwasher safe. A little more expensive, but no need to buy replacement caps.
