Unlike some others, I ordered the item in "Default Open " condition.

They are easier to use and will not snag on yarns that tend to break or pull. Those are the only ones I will draw. Do yourself a favor and don't buy the closed ones...they are very hard to open, hard to get (if you try to keep them open and same thing if you remove them. I've bought more and will use the donate closed pens .
