This grinder is not very good when it comes to grinding. Bought to grind fresh catnip for the cats we have in our home garden. The spacing between the fins is very large compared to other grinders I've seen. This makes your end product VERY rough. The same can be done with nails. This does not mean that it is a bad product. He does what he has to do very well. It grinds herbs easier and faster than I could with my fingers. He just doesn't grind them very well. Another serious drawback of this product is the screen. It's not taught very well. So if you grab your shredded herbs and squeeze too hard, they'll turn into one of those pop-up things and pop out as soon as you take your hand away, sending the herb everywhere. I'll hold onto this if I ever decide to grow basil or something similar that doesn't need to be ground as finely, but this product just wasn't right for my needs.
