Affordable and practical solution for cameras in our office. Based on years of experience with CCTV/IP-WAN based video surveillance systems, I thought it would be easy to set up, but it was actually a bit difficult because it uses a proprietary "cloud" protocol, local AV control software and online viewing software for mobile phones, which I wasn't very familiar with. I'm sure if I experimented with this I could probably set it up for standard DNS access, port forwarding etc and use other types of camera viewers on my phone as we have settings with other systems. When I called tech support I got a quick response and they helped me with some minor setup issues I had in the beginning, so A++ for the great support. I also asked a few questions about the GUI OSD but I assume he just didn't know because he said it wasn't possible with this system. I'm stubborn though, so after. Now that we've had this system for a few days, I think the following is crucial: With our other default IP/DNS systems for internet/phone remote browsing, we've had a BIG trouble. with our ISP sending us emails stating that a device on our network (a DVR of course) has been hacked and for DOS attacks on other computers etc constantly taking the system offline to minimize these problems. With this cloud-based system and strict access protocols, it seems very secure, and while this is no longer an issue, we haven't had a single issue with our ISP.
