When I took this wand out of the box I was very disappointed. It is thin and almost the same as folded metallic paper. Once you let go of it, it will open to full size. I put it in my son's Christmas stocking anyway, thinking it would be quickly thrown away. Surprisingly, it was a great success! My 7 year old loved it and kept wanting to demonstrate it. It may not last long, but it's a fun little toy that everyone will want to try.
