Review on Gamma Sports Tennis Ballhoppers: Durable, Convenient, and Stylish - Multiple Styles and Colors, Easy Pickup and Storage - Holds 50 to 140 Tennis Balls by Ben Alvarez

Strong upper body but weak legs!

I bought a Gamma 75 Hi-Rise Plus funnel cheap and damn it's cheap and useless. Since I have more balls, I decided to try this more durable bunker. When I received it I was pleased with the feel of the material - definitely more durable and less prone to flexing than its flimsy, cheaper brother. Hole-in grips were a traditional design that worked for generations, so that was fine. The basket is light with no balls but I'm sure a full basket will be heavy. With the handles in carry/pick mode, I felt it was very durable (doesn't twist or slip). However, when I tried to get it into a serving (standing) position, I found it difficult to snap the sides of my leg inward. Sometimes a page popped out and sometimes it popped back. I needed my leg and arm to squeeze both together to fix both waves of each leg. Then get up, sometimes just one side clapped and everything fell to the floor! While it was standing, only one of my kids walking past it (in my house on the hall floor) was able to push it enough to keep jumping and falling. I don't know if this is mine, which isn't well built, but it looks like some reviewers have identified the same issue. This is my second failure with the gamma hopper. (I'm sure Wilson is no better) This is really disappointing. I'm going to try Gold 75 and hope it works the best.
