It was taken for marking photos with coordinates - and this function is performed with brilliance. Two points need to be clarified: firstly, it should be allowed to set the clock on the satellites itself (otherwise the coordinates may "leave" when combined), and secondly, you need to merge the raw log file from it, without using the built-in save procedure, just connect it as an external drive and merge the log file. When saving, it throws out some of the timestamps. If all this is done, take the GPicSync program (it's free), set the time offset relative to GMT in it (it takes GMT from the satellite) and go through the finished photos, specifying one or more log files (if you specify several, it will work VERY slowly). That's all, the coordinates are recorded. And this is much more convenient than GPS in the camera, because the camera does not appear at the most inopportune moment with a dead battery. And if you turn off the GPS in the camera, then it turns on for a long time, but the plot for the photo will not wait.
