Definitely no black coffee taste as described.

Rather an odd latte smell and doesn't last long. The taste is not bad, just not what was expected. I bought this to spray (and freshen up) some paper/cardboard car air fresheners. It doesn't last more than a day or so, which is disappointing. If you're looking for an accurate flavor description, I have to describe this flavor as a mild coffee drink with minimal staying power.
