Review on Express Water Alkaline Reverse Filtration Filtration by Kelly Kaliyan

Thanks to Express Water for presetting the auto shut off valve and color coding all hoses. Clear and simple instructions take the guesswork out of the installation process. This was my first installation of a reverse osmosis system so it took a few days to troubleshoot. However, my problems were not with the filter system. I modified mine with a booster pump and a few bypasses to make flushing easier so I don't have to disconnect a lot of hoses in the future. I also rerouted the "sewage" line to wash dishes (instead of draining it through the included pipe saddle). The OEM configuration only took about an hour once I had all the parts ready. I was able to lower my TDS from over 550ppm to less than 30ppm prior to the alkaline remineralization step. My frustrations include: 1/4" instead of 3/8" tubing, excess potassium and sodium ions after remineralization, and a faulty pressure gauge. I strongly recommend purchasing two good quality pressure gauges to monitor the differential pressure in a reverse osmosis system.
