Denim dreams shortened: Lucky Brand KP shorts put to the test

I got my hands on Lucky Brand Boys, Playa, 10-12 Big 5 Pocket Knit Denim Shorts (let's call them KP Shorts for short) and I have to admit I had mixed feelings. On the other hand, the fabric is amazingly soft and stretchy. It feels comfortable and offers good flexibility for active children. The deep blue color is also a plus as it is versatile enough for different occasions. However, these shorts also have disadvantages. First, the size seems a little off. I ordered size 10-12 for my son and they were too big in the waist but too short in length. Also, the stitching at the hem looked a bit cheap and started to fray after a few washes. Overall I would give these pants 3 out of 5 stars. While they're comfortable and stylish, the sizing and stitching issues are a bit disappointing. If you decide to buy KP shorts, be sure to check the size chart and carefully inspect the seams.

Pros
  • The Lucky Brand Boys Big 5 Pocket Knitted Denim Shorts are comfortable and stylish as the knitted denim allows for freedom of movement and flexibility while playing.
Cons
  • Can't be durable. Knitted denim can fray or tear after repeated washing or regular wear, which can ultimately shorten the life of the shorts.
