Review on OLYMPUS M.Zuiko Digital ED 12-40mm F2.8 Pro Lens: Ultimate Quality for Micro Four Thirds Cameras by Amar Amar ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The right product for me, there were no problems.

Personally, I am completely satisfied with the lens. For a long time I decided whether to buy it "for home, family and landscapes" I decided and did not regret it. Photos look great right out of the camera, I forgot what Photoshop is. I am attaching some unedited photos. I took a used one from the distribution for 38,000 as a staff member for the Lumix GX9. It is definitely worth this money, but the price in the official store of 70,000 is a clear overkill. You can read my more detailed story about this lens here - http://www. Artem-kashkanov. Pros
  • There is color and light. The picture looks "expensive", unlike budget zooms. Sharp from 2.8 at any focal length, 20 megapixels renders for a sweet soul. High-quality materials, the lens is pleasant to hold in hands. They did not save on the hood and lid either. All-weather - it was not possible to test it in practice, but this is definitely a plus. Fast and accurate autofocus. At 40 mm, it is quite tolerable for an m4 / 3 zoom, it washes the background in portraits, although by definition it is not capable of strong bokeh. The presence of an additional functional button. Mechanical manual focus - simple and straightforward.
Cons
  • Big and heavy for a micro. It is clearly designed for use with top-end carcasses, comparable in size and weight to DSLRs. The Panasonic GX9 (not the lightest device) noticeably "pecks" forward. Expensive.

The weight is something that could be attributed to the minuses, but for the quality you have to sacrifice something. I am satisfied with the purchase.

With its pros. Probably the best staffer that yuzal. Got cons: Large for micro 4/3 and probably a little expensive and retractable

Some pros: 1) Sharpness 2) Relative universality. 3) Fast autofocus. 4) Aperture 5) Dust and moisture protection. Its cons: If not the secondary market, then the high price.

Its pros: I'm not a specialist. I got what I wanted. Relatively wide zoom. Not cool, but normal aperture. It will do. Cons: The lens hood is so-so in shape and just plastic. Crooked hands and an empty head.
