Works great. Saves me $72 a year on my cable TV bills. Replaced my Time Warner cable modem (which I found out they were charging me $6 a month to rent) with this one. I just plugged it in without installing any software (a software install is only required if you're connecting your computer via USB rather than Ethernet), turned on the device, and then called Time Warner to have them activate it. When you call, make sure you have the MAC address of both the new and old modems, and the brand and model of the new modem. It took about 20 minutes from unpacking to activation. I had to reboot the router after the modem activated before it recognized the connection. Oh, and just in case anyone was wondering, this will not replace your existing modem if you have internet calling, so DO NOT buy a modem in that case. You MUST use Time Warner devices if you have a phone with you. It's right there on the modem activation page.
