Review on MSI Gaming Motherboard Mini ITX Renewed Computer Components by Stanislaw Wawrzynowi ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Best thing I have ever used, highly recommended!

For 6 Intel cores without K indexes, this motherboard is definitely IMBA. Even with a limitation of 2666Hz, you can quite well squeeze the timings at CL12 on cheap sticks with samsung M-die chips (32 Gb duals) and get excellent results in bandwidth (screenshots are attached). In stress tests, the temperature of the mosfets did not exceed 64 degrees when working with the i5 10600. However, after changing the processor to the i7 10700f, I found that in the stress test, after half an hour, the temperature of the mosfets was 94 degrees! After analyzing the sensors, it turned out that all restrictions on PL2 (long-term consumption) were removed in the BIOS itself. this board spawned 8 cores with a consumption of 160 watts. This is easy to treat, just manually set 65 watts in the BIOS for a long load (the BIOS automatically sets as much as 255 watts, clearly overestimating its power supply capabilities). After editing to 65 watts, everything became fine, the mosfets do not get particularly hot, and the i7 processor under a cheap two-section does not rise above 70 degrees in games. With i5 10600 in games, the percentage kept a stable frequency of 4400 With i7 10700f in games it holds 4600 and sometimes drops up to 4200 on some cores (due to manual PL2 limit of 65 watts) with memory overclocking to 2933cl14 And I still do not recommend setting odd timings on this board (such as cl13, cl11, etc.), because they give nothing in terms of throughput and can lead to instability in games (tested on warzone and lark). I recommend the motherboard for assembling compact high-performance mini itx systems (in my case, in the cooler master NP200 case) up to the level of the i7 10700f processor (it won’t pull any more powerful).

Pros
  • Excellent power supply (as far as I understand, there are 6 direct phases for the processor and 2 phases for the rest) Mosfet radiators Possibility to install two m2 drives There is a pump connector (and two more 4 pin connectors for fans) Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth work without jambs Almost instant loading of Windows (I have 5-6 seconds) Smartly squeezes the timings of the RAM Works seamlessly with i5 10600 and even i7 10700f (see comment) The new BIOS already has support for ResizeBar for new video cards from AMD (in the future, NVidea) The rtx 2080 aorus master video card feels very cheerful with this compact board (I plan to upgrade to rtx 3070 in the near future) There is (in theory) support for future 11th generation intels
Cons
  • 1) If you have an 8-core (like my i7 10700f), then in the BIOS it is necessary to limit the PL2 level to the passport 65 watts, otherwise there is a risk of burning the VRM zone (see comment) 2) It is impossible to put the water block with hoses to the right due to the proximity of the RAM slots 3) Memory duals can not start with CR1 (maybe they will fix it in new bios)
