Review on ๐Ÿ”‹ Yellow DEWALT 20V MAX Cordless Vacuum Kit, Wet/Dry, Portable with 1/2-Gallon Capacity (DCV517M1) by Jontrell Fernandes

Total failures: wet and dry

I bought this expensive DeWalt 20V cordless vacuum about ten months ago and have never used it maybe ten times. The battery was charged twice in total. The specs are completely fake. The vacuum is very weak, the hose broke a few uses and had to be taped back up, the bag is difficult to remove and clean and now the battery is completely dead! It refuses to charge and costs $80 for a new one. Will call DeWalt customer service again tomorrow, have been waiting online for a service technician with no connection for over an hour. Obviously, they don't respect their customers enough to hire more people, and their equipment is likely to fail at an alarming rate. If that battery isn't covered under warranty, it goes in the trash. I don't pay any more money for this complete piece of crap. I should have returned it immediately the first time I tried it but I left it anyway, BIG mistake. I've bought other DeWalt tools over the years, but for the last two or three years this crap hasn't been much better than the Harbor Freight crap. In fact, I have several RF cordless devices that have lasted a lot longer than this vacuum! You know you get junk on highs, and this stuff is cheap enough to throw away if it breaks. This DeWalt vacuum was NOT CHEAP! I bought a DeWalt 20V 5.5" hacksaw and woodworking circular saw and it's an expensive shelf queen. The saw doesn't have enough power and the battery drains very quickly. Don't waste your money on DeWalt battery powered tools. .About five ago years ago I bought two Ridgid cordless drills and two 120 VAC angle grinders with a lifetime warranty ON ALL TOOLS INCLUDING BATTERIES Ridgid tools have outlasted my DeWalt stuff and just won't go away I will never buy DeWalt tools again, if the battery is not under warranty!I will update this review if I am ever able to contact DeWalt customer service.
