Review on Dorman 748-508 Power Window Motor and Regulator Assembly - Front Driver Side - Compatible with Select Chrysler, Dodge, and Ram Models by Fernando Hudson

I have been repairing all my cars myself for a long time because I like learning new things and I like working with my own hands. Recently, my latest DIY repair replaced the driver's side power window and motor on my 2012 Chrysler Town and Country. The regulator was first replaced by a mechanic in April 2019; the factory-installed controller was in service from December 2013 until then. The replacement ESC and motor were Dorman 748-508. The mechanic also replaced the engine as a precaution, which I agreed to. The first Dorman 748-508 was in service from April 2019 to October 2019 when the cable broke again shortly after arriving in South Korea. I ordered a replacement (second) Dorman 748-508 in October 2019, received and installed it in November 2019 and it lasted through October 2020. Due to repeated regulator failure I decided to order two in October 2020 and received them in late October 2020. A third Dorman 748-508 regulator ran from October 2020 to December 2020 when the cable broke again. I took a fourth Dorman 748-508 to a Chrysler service center in Daegu, South Korea and they installed it for me because they thought I made a mistake replacing the parts and putting everything back together. A fourth Dorman 748-508 ran from December 2020 to late January 2021 when the cable broke again. I ordered another replacement on January 29th 2021, a fifth ESC and a Dorman 748-508 motor assembly and installed them in February 2021. The fifth Dorman 748-508 has been in service since then to date April 7th 2021. an operations mechanic immediately after hearing the now familiar crack of wire, and the mechanic confirmed that the controller wire had failed again and nothing in the door assembly could have affected the safe operation of the controller. I won't be ordering another Dorman product any time soon and will only be ordering Mopar (factory) parts instead.
