I have it to be able to add USB and/or Ethernet. Please note that the right angle version faces the bracket away from the HDMI port. The left corner routes it back to HDMI. So plan as you please. I'm using a Firestick extension, so the left corner will probably be neater. If you connect directly to the TV, you need permissions. Performance wise it seems to do what is expected of it. This allows you to use a power supply jumper and additional bandwidth to add another device like a USB/Ethernet adapter. This allows you to add storage, keyboard/mouse, and wired connectivity to your router. So far everything is working as expected.
