It works. - Medical Supplies and Equipment

12/30/18 From the description I concluded that I was the patient (my husband) with hands could reposition without help. I couldn't figure out 'how' myself, but I put 4 Handle Patient Help under my husband's hopes of (kinda) being inspired. On a recent visit to a medical center that is (temporarily) covered by our insurance, I mentioned how I bought a pillow with a handle to carry my husband to the head of the bed so his legs didn't touch the lower frame touch. Beds. She pointed out (with the help of this block with a handle) that it was possible and described how I could do it without help. I was advised to spread my legs/feet (at the head of the bed), lean forward (place/adjust my legs/body over the head of the bed), then grab the top two handles and slowly pull. pause.pull slowly and repeat (if necessary) to avoid hurting yourself. I weigh 130 pounds, my husband is 5ft 11" and weighs (now) about 165 pounds. Sometimes he crosses his arms over his chest and I pull myself up. Other days he can push when I pull. Item absolutely works for me I originally used extra padding on the pillow with a handle to keep it from getting dirty, but that's not necessary as it's made from a durable, quilted and washable fabric. that I didn't find this item online before because I prefer (at the moment) the 4-hand turner turner and positioner to the bed pillows I originally ordered underneath. I have also found that this item does not wrinkle. I say that non normal pillows are useless or necessary but my husband has a back injury and the less protective materials he has under him the more comfortable he is in bed. Washing is not a chore for me, but not being able to move it to make it more comfortable was a big problem. Challenge and risk factor for both of us. I think this is a great item and highly recommend it. Caregivers may not need handles, but anyone (a friend or family member) can help the caregiver or patient feel more comfortable (without hurting themselves) by using this 4-Handle Patient Movement, Rotation, and Repositioning Pad. This thing has become a real find for me and my sweetheart!
