The vacuum cleaner cleans carpets and upholstery very well and also removes cat hair from upholstery. I was concerned that it wasn't self-propelled, but it was easier to use than my previous self-propelled HEPA stand, which was so noisy we needed hearing protection! The cat ran and hid when the old vacuum cleaner was used. She sleeps on the bed with Miele while they clean up around her. Slim, elegant and efficient design; All nozzles are stored in the canister. The device has an amazing HEPA filtration system which is great for allergy sufferers. The user manual contains many numbered photos and diagrams that explain assembly, use and maintenance. What we didn't expect was that after 60 hours (equivalent to a week's use) the device would turn itself off for verification. Our system is in use every day, so the shutdown came much earlier for us. We had some trouble getting it back to work, but eventually it turned out that the reset button solved the problem. This is a great vacuum cleaner. Love it!
