Review on ViewSonic XG270Q with DisplayHDR - Ergonomic 2560x1440P Monitor with 165Hz, Built-In Speakers, Tilt and Swivel Adjustments by Jeremy Gancio

Very good display, BUT DO NOT use the supplied DP cable!

This display is beautiful (although it has that IPS glow that EVERY IPS DISPLAY has, so it's not unique to this display), with great colors, deep blacks and a sleek look. However, DO NOT use the supplied DP cable. Buy a VESA-certified KabelDirect 1.4 cable or equivalent and save yourself a lot of anxiety. One day I turned on the display and noticed dead pixels in several places and thought I had to return the display, which I really liked. But to troubleshoot, I tried replacing the included DP cable with another one I had and voila, no more dead pixels. The supplied DP cable must be shorted and is not VESA certified at all. If you connect the 20th pin you will end up with a wire that will short out and stop working and that is proof that this is happening. ViewSonic, include better cables in your product. We're already paying close to $1,000 for a 32-inch display that you can add a $15 cable to. I almost gave this display away because your cable was bad, not the display.
