Poor quality light

The fan is very nice. But we have owned it for less than a year and the light no longer works. It was never very bright, but didn't shine at all. I will be contacting Westinghouse to find out how to change the light as you can't just buy a new bulb. VERY annoying that the light quality is so bad.
