Review on Dreambaby Liberty Close Security Extension by Kara Davis

When you first take it out of the box it's clear that the quality isn't as high as other brands we've used before. I chose it because it had "auto-closing" and the gate opened by itself in both directions. The movement is stiff and quite clumsy. I can handle it, but wish it was smoother. The castle is not beautiful. It's made out of what looks and feels like very cheap plastic. When the door swings open you have to push it to lock or slam it. "Auto" closing is not automatic. You have to close it because it will bang in the open position. I have auto close because my older kids will NOT forget to close it. Installation went well, but the small mounting cups are annoying. They seem like a good idea on paper, but they don't protect your wall at all, they just make installation more difficult. Overall, I would NOT recommend this gate and would return it, but that's a big issue. It will work as a gateway for us, but it doesn't have the convenience I was looking for.
