Review on 🔥 Iroda Solderpro Cordless Soldering Iron for Hobbyists: A Convenient and Versatile Solution by Jeff Labore

Terrible and dangerous - stay away!

The first thing I noticed about this iron is that it spatters profusely, as if the butane is unevenly distributed. I asked a question about it here and didn't get an answer. I have used many soldering irons including cordless ones and this is the worst I have ever used. When ignited, it makes a loud whistle and you smell a strong odor of butane gas. My other cordless irons never had this problem. The tip of the iron doesn't get very hot, in fact the part under the tip where you can see the flame gets about the same and that's the biggest problem. I use a cordless iron that works in vehicles where you solder wires and often plastic alongside other things. This iron generates so much heat from the pencil that it will literally burn wires (or fingers) within a few inches. I was trying to solder a wire and noticed that the solder kept burning in half leaving a 1" piece of solder hanging from the solder joint. Yes, it goes back to Revane.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Big and bulky
