I use it for games and movies along with the PS4 and the Marantz NR1510 amplifier. I'm not an audiophile and I don't really understand airiness and other volumes, but the sound is good. When compared to the old Wharfedale 10.1 and Wharfedale 8.2, the difference is just an abyss. In a close price category, I tried to connect Adam a3x monitors (I use them as multimedia ones on my computer), but there is no point in comparing them with them. The monitors have a better middle and top, but there are no bottoms at all. They know how to sound good at low volume - top, bottom, middle - everything is in place. Unlike the small Adam a3x. There, at a low volume, the lower middle almost disappears, and at an average night it is not convenient in front of the neighbors. The guitar of Gustavo Santaolalla in The Last of Us sounds simply amazing, the epic tracks of Death Stranding break through to tears. But the bass in Horizon Zero Dawn is not enough. There is a very bass voice acting, and you want to hear both 40 and 30 Hz, but they are not there, you need a subwoofer. Now I'm waiting for the KEF Kube10b to arrive. The speakers are installed about 20 cm from the wall, I had to plug the phase inverter with a complete plug, otherwise the bass is somehow annoying.
