Review on 🔑 Essential Black Hood Release Cable: Efficient and Reliable by Neil Bodell

This item was featured by Revain as fitting my 2005 Tahoe, but its grommet is too large to fit the firewall hole and does not cover the hole properly off because it comes into contact with a metal object and this could cause engine exhaust fumes to enter the car. I had to remove the sleeve and cut out the original to reuse. I used masking tape to ensure the reused bushing doesn't delaminate further. I didn't install the handle as mine was fine. I wanted to return it but I really needed to replace my nearly broken cable or I would have sent it back. It's very difficult to replace this cable and it's a little annoying that you still have to fiddle with it to make it work. I've added pictures so you can see the problem. The small socket is original.
