So I got the Big Bear Hunting Pack from the Alps. I got these because I liked not having to wear a completely separate strap to carry the binoculars. I have several Leupold McKenzies in size 10*42. i love magnets Convenient, just drop down and stay closed. And also for quick opening. I also love the price. The problems I had were actually three things.1. My binoculars are difficult to assemble and are one of the smallest in the Leupold range. I have to pull the lid down hard for the magnets to hook.2. You can ONLY use the bag with the Big Bear backpack. I would pay a lot more money if I could use it with or without a backpack. 3. Most of the other harnesses I've had, Tenzing, Vortex, Badlands have a strap that connects directly to the harness and binoculars. So if for any reason you need to go without your binoculars, you can. In other words, you don't have to put them back into the straps to move them. So he has no belt. So I have to put it back in the case every time. Doesn't violate the terms of the contract, just impractical. I like the price and I like the idea of it matching my current package. So far it's working, but I'm hoping Alps will make some changes. Even if I pay more for it.
