I have numerous cassette tapes and LPs that I wanted to save on CD. The Teac recorder has numerous features that I probably won't use, but it is straightforward to record my tapes and records to CDs. I previously had a tape player and software so that I could create digital files of my cassette tapes on my computer. The Teac recorder is easier to use plus it allows me to digitize my records. It has good quality sound if you only want to play a tape, LP, or CD. I hadn't heard my LPs in a long time.
