more sketchbooks than mixed media magazines

I expected more from them - instead they really feel like some heavyweight printer paper bound into a book. I appreciate the beautiful embossed covers and yarn binding, but the paper itself is very bright white and just doesn't feel like durable, well-made mixed media paper. If you are looking for a small pad/magazine with thick cream colored pages to hold all your layers of colour, watercolor and media then this isn't it. I think they do better as sketchbooks, perhaps with light application of wet environments and/or collage.
