If these shoes are only worn on a boat they might wear a little better, but I've worn them mostly between parking at the pier, on my boat gone for a walk, and working and swimming. After just a few months of healing, both shoes showed excessive wear and one was completely worn out. The shoes are wide, but both shoes are stretched a little. I was going to order a pair in a lighter color but I'm glad I didn't. This shoe may be suitable for those who are NOT very active and/or who don't walk much, or who are looking for a casual, comfortable shoe for occasional wear.
