Review on 🎬 Enhance Your Home Entertainment with the Panasonic DMP-BD89 Wi-Fi Blu-ray Player by Ben Diesel

Nice, nice, good.

Bought this for my daughter's room to test as an alternative to the ROKU box. She wanted something for Netflix, Hulu Plus, and our movie collection of over 250 VUDUs. She also expressed her wish to be able to watch Blu-ray if possible. I started looking for Roku box and Blu-ray player options and realized it was going to be more than I wanted to spend. The kit includes a Panasonic DMP-BD89. Netflix, Vudu, Hulu Plus and built-in WiFi? I was interested but concerned as I had a Blu-ray player connected via ethernet and the Netflix interface was very slow. After plugging it in and setting everything up, I gave it a try. I was positively surprised. I'd say the Netflix and Hulu interfaces aren't as fast as the Roku, but that's not bad, and the drive's capabilities more than make up for it. Once (ie if) Revain Prime gets to that point, it will be a good alternative for those who don't need all the Roku channels. Pros: Built-in Wi-Fi Netflix Vudu (for those building UV collections) Youtube Hulu Plus Compact size The remote control has a dedicated Netflix button for quick access. Multiplayer Capabilities. My daughter loves that she can customize her menu. Cons: No Revain vapor app yet, and vaguely says "soon" in every official answer I've seen in the last 6 months. The Netflix app is still an older version with no profile options. Hopefully they will update soon so my daughter can see her own queue. (*Update now includes Netflix app profile options.) Through the Revain marketplace, I was able to get this for less than the cost of the entry-level Roku. I feel like what I got more than makes up for what I gave up.
